Snoop Dogg Joining Islam
That’s right Snoog Dogg is joining Islam, last Sunday he attended the Nation of Islam’s Saviours Day in Chicago.
“When you get a speech from Minister Farrakhan, it’s about a mirror, it’s about looking at yourself,” Snoop told The Associated Press after the event. “It’s about seeing yourself and what you can do to better the situation…We’re doing a lot of wrongs among ourselves that need correcting.”
When asked if he was planning on becoming a member he said stated that he was already a member.
“I’m already in the Nation, that’s why I’m here,” he said. “I’m an advocate for peace. I’ve been in the peace movement ever since I’ve been making music. My whole thing is not about really trying to push my thing on you. It’s just about the way I live, and I live how I’m supposed to live as far as doing what’s right and representing what’s right. That’s why I was here today.”
Be interesting to see if the content of his songs change at all due to this joining of the Nation of Islam

Handgun to be used as Evidence in Lil Wayne Trial
The New York City judge says that the handgun found on Lil Wayne’s tour bus following a 2007 concert can be used as evidence at his trial.
Lil Wayne has pleaded not guilty to gun possession, and is currently free on $70,000 bail.
Wayne was arrested in July 2007 after a concert at the Beacon Theatre. A police officer reported boarding the tour bus because she smelled marijuana, and saw the rapper try to hide a gun.
Lil Wayne’s defense attorney Stacey Richman is arguing that the officer lied about smelling the marijuana in order to board the bus.
Doesn’t look too good though.
Lil Wayne’s court date is currently set for April 20, 2009.

Rihanna Throws a Birthday Party, Chris Brown Tries to Send Gifts?
Rihanna went ahead and celebrated her 21st birthday. Reports are stating that Chris Brown sent her an iPod and a diamond necklace and bracelet.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper:
“Chris called Rihanna to wish her a happy birthday. He’s absolutely trying to get back into her good graces. He knows he’s very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to show her how sorry he is.”
Yea well you think after the scuffle?
The source said:
“She hasn’t scarred or anything. She was in a great mood. She was really celebrating not just her birthday, but life in general. “Her theme was ‘Blackjack 21′ and all the guests gambled. And although there was alcohol available, Rihanna wasn’t drinking.”
Not drinking on your 21st birthday? Well that is a new one!
Rihanna is now believed to be in Barbados.

Usher’s Wife is Recovering
Earlier this month Tameka Raymond, Usher’s wife, was reportedly hospitalized after a routine liposuction procedure went wrong in Brazil.
Apparently she went into cardiac arrest after receiving the anesthesia but was revived using “heart massage”
Whatever that is?!
Some have claimed the problems came from complications after having her son, but no one has come out and said anything for sure.
But, it appears Tameka Raymond is recovering well and has been released from the hospital. No statement has been issued by Usher’s people.
